The best time to back something is before it is obvious. Not when the track record is already there. Not when the name is already known. But when the mission is clear, the people are the right ones, and the structure is being built with intention.
That is exactly where YOUNG Foundation is today.
We are in the process of formal incorporation in the Netherlands. We are building our team, shaping our programmes, and establishing the governance that will allow us to operate with full transparency and responsibility. We are not yet at scale. And we are not pretending to be.
What we are is clear about what we are building and why.
YOUNG Foundation exists to do two things: connect young entrepreneurs with experienced mentors who can help them build with more clarity, and support sport initiatives where young people develop the character and confidence they carry for the rest of their lives.
Neither of these things is expensive to start. But both require consistency, commitment, and the resources to act when the right initiative or the right founder crosses our path.
Supporting YOUNG Foundation at this stage means being part of something from the beginning. It means making it possible for us to say yes to the right projects, connect the right people, and build a structure that grows responsibly rather than reactively.
Early support is not just financial. It is a signal.
When the right people choose to back something before it is proven, it attracts others who share the same values. It gives the Foundation the credibility to build real partnerships, recruit serious mentors, and approach sport initiatives with the resources to make a genuine commitment.
The founders and athletes who will benefit from YOUNG Foundation in five years do not know it exists yet. What is built now, quietly and carefully, is what makes that future possible.
Every initiative YOUNG Foundation supports is reviewed carefully. We look at alignment with our values, long-term potential, and the real impact on people and community. We do not support for visibility. We support for outcomes.
That same rigour applies to how we handle the trust of our supporters. We are building the reporting and transparency structures now, before we need them, because we believe that responsible stewardship of resources is not something you add later. It is something you build in from the start.
We are looking for supporters who understand long-term impact. People who have benefited from a mentor, a community, or an opportunity that arrived at the right moment, and who want to make sure others have the same.
If that is you, we would like to hear from you.
This is how it begins: with the right people, at the right moment, choosing to build something together.
